Kilmore Quay Seafood Festival Platter Competition
Thank you to all our chefs who took the time out of their very busy day to create a feast for the eyes and tantalising tasty platters.
The best and most perceptive judges in the country were called upon to decide the winners. They were as follows:
- Michelin Star Chef Derry Clarke, L’Ecrivain Restaurant, Baggot St. Lower, Dublin 2
- Dick Bates, Food Scientist and Marine Biologist, Kilmore Quay
- Aisling Boggan, Keelings Fruit & Veg, North County Dublin
- Paul Carey, Hotel and Catering Consultant
Following a long critical tasting session and much deliberation the winners were declared:
FIRST PLACE – Mary Barry’s Bar & Restaurant, Kilmore Village, Co. Wexford
SECOND PLACE – La Côte Seafood Restaurant, in the heart of Wexford town
THIRD PLACE – The Farmer’s Kitchen Hotel, Drinagh, Rosslare Road, Wexford
FOURTH PLACE – Coast Hotels and Resorts, Rosslare Strand, Co. Wexford
